Everything you could possibly want to know about me...

After spending 13 years in medicine, working in every position from receptionist to practice administrator, I knew I wanted a change. I originally returned to college to earn a degree in hospital administration- I love working in medicine, but patient care is extremely difficult of the psyche, and I was beginning to become burned out. I had worked as a cardiac technician for several years, and I had volunteered with the cardiac critical care unit at my local hospital, but it was becoming too much.

Since attending GGC, I have been afforded the opportunity to work closely with many members of faculty, both in the English department and elsewhere, to explore my academic and personal interests.

In my "off" time I enjoy spending time with my husband and dogs: Freckles the Basset Hound and Tasslehoff the Mini Schnauzer. I have been a supporter and volunteer of animal rescues for the past 10 years. When we have the time, my husband and I enjoy traveling and enjoying our time with each other and our 4-legged family.
